- A purchaser can secure their new Horse by payment of a £500 deposit, which then forms a contract to purchase. Full payment must be made within 7 days unless agreed otherwise.
- Should the purchaser request a veterinary examination and/or testing;
- 2 and 5 stage Veterinary Inspections must only be carried out at McLaren Archibald Equestrian
- All horses are open to vet
- In the unlikely event that a horse fails to pass for purpose of use, the £500 deposit left to secure the sale is refundable in full, excluding any pre-disclosed condition(s) or issues.
- Vettings must be organised within 7 days of deposit being placed. Failure to do so results in a 50% forfeit of deposit.
- McLaren Archibald Equestrian accept no liability of horses passing blood testing e.g. Streptococcus equi. We recommend horses are quarantined and blood tested on arrival as per industry standard.
- In the event a horse tests positive for an infectious disease then the new owner must cover all veterinary costs of treatment(s).
- If the purchaser should change their mind or is unable to proceed with the purchase then the deposit is forfeit and will not be refunded under any circumstances.
- Horse Heights stated in adverts are strictly approximate (+/-). Heights stated in cm are confirmed with certification.
- All horses are sold with a full 30 day exchange warranty unless they are sold as a ‘project’. ‘Project’ horses are sold as seen and exempt from any warranty.
- The start date of the warranty is the date the funds are paid or the date of the receipt of cheque(s)/cash or the date the horse is collected/delivered, whichever comes first.
- If the purchaser wishes to return the horse within the 30 day warranty period:
- McLaren Archibald Equestrian agrees to exchange the horse for one of equal quality and value, but under no circumstances will a cash refund be given
- If the purchaser wishes to buy a horse of greater value for themselves they can use the original horse as part payment.
- If the purchaser does not like any of the horses in stock, McLaren Archibald Equestrian will endeavour to get a replacement as soon as possible.
- The purchaser agrees to be patient during this time. Whilst every effort will be made to satisfy the purchaser's requirements quickly, there is no time limit given to source such replacement.
- If the purchaser wishes McLaren Archibald Equestrian to take the horse back to sell on their behalf, McLaren Archibald Equestrian will charge:
- 10% of the sale price.
- Livery at £150 per week.
- The following conditions apply to the exchange warranty:
- The horse must be returned in the same condition as it was in when it left the premises.
- The horse must not be injured or blemished in any way.
- McLaren Archibald Equestrian cannot be held responsible for management issues, under any circumstances. Purchasers should ensure they have a sufficient support system in place.
- Pre-disclosed conditions or issues are exempt from the exchange warranty
- It must not be freeze marked, have ID brands, replacement microchip inserted or passport altered in any way.
- McLaren Archibald Equestrian reserves the right to have a veterinary surgeon inspect the horse on its return.
- McLaren Archibald Equestrian is not liable for the return costs of a horse, transport must be covered by purchaser.
- In the event social media is involved in the return of a horse, McLaren Archibald Equestrian revoke all warranty and reserve the right to insist all contact is made through legal officials.
9. Tack packs, delivery and any other items are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances. These items are made to order and once ordered are non-refundable.
10. Sales Livery horses are exempt from all warranty and guarantees. The contract of sale lies with the seller and not McLaren Archibald Equestrian Ltd acting as the agent.
